I just wanted to share my joy. My son had his first child and I was blessed to be invited to watch them bring a new life into this world. I'm so grateful.

I'm a bit confused. He wants to remain friends and has reached out to you several times. Have you responded or shown interest or are you simply doing the techniques? Techniques aside, if someone has repeatedly reached out to you and you're not responsive, they may very well ignore the thoughts you're creating and thinking you're not interested. You have an advantage here that many don't.
I'm going to go across the grain here and tell you something I don't say much on this forum. Reach out to him. Go have coffee. Talk. That's how you'll know if he's interested in someone else. Then reassess the situation.
Law of Attraction Discussion » why do so many people read and run ? :( » 8/25/2017 11:23 pm |
I read almost every new thread, but I don't respond to most of them. Sometimes I have nothing helpful to say (such as the poster who questioned what she could do about her family's religious and cultural beliefs. I have absolutely nothing helpful to say and I can't pretend to understand). Other times I see the same people posting the same things and asking the same questions repeatedly. In these cases, I think people are fishing to be coddled and when they aren't they get angry. I saw a thread get pretty ugly not long ago because someone happened to remember the backstory. It's frustrating for those who want help, but it's also frustrating for those who are trying to help and they're told to go to hell for it. Sometimes I do see people just need encouragement and I simply don't respond. It's not that I'm selfish or don't empathize. Honestly, a lot of the people reaching out have very long back stories and I just don't have time to sit and focus on a thread for a half hour. I mean, I write essays, but some of these are long! I skim the first few paragraphs before I simply move on.
I wouldn't take it personally. I don't think I've ever stared a thread that's had more than 2-3 responses. I still like to take part in the forum anyway. I do get a lot of responses and interactions otherwise. Don't take it as rejection. Sometimes people just don't respond for a variety of reasons.

A lot about beliefs, subconscious thoughts, and how your higher self may be protecting you from your desire. Interesting thoughts.

How does this work then? I mean, thousands of people think about Donald Trump on a daily basis but he's not thinking about them!
I, personally, believe you can transmit your thoughts. This is a great point, though. I mean, I see random people online everyday and I know they aren't thinking of me for the simple fact that they don't know me. That's right up there with "if you desire someone they desire you, too". Maybe. Or maybe not. Who's to say? Some people believe this vehemently. I don't happen to be one of them. "Can" transmit thoughts doesn't necessarily mean "always". I'm interested in seeing a lively discussion on this, though!

This is one of those nasty unnecessary kinds of comments that bring the vibe of the forum down. Did we need to single anyone out or be mean-spirited?
