I had a similar experience, not Christmas gifts but other ones. I would return the gifts if I were you. I wish I would have done. I don't think it's sending a message to the universe that you're over at all. I fully expect to hear from my man again at some stage and am confident that I will, but I'm planning to try to sell some of the things I bought for him on ebay or somewhere or even perhaps give them away to charity because I don't want to give them to him any more. I did far too much for him as it was.  He can give to me from now on.
