Today’s message is all about keeping a perspective on things. I’ll give you an example… In Chicago, the weather had been below zero with some really crazy low wind chills for almost a week. This was obviously miserable, and we all couldn’t wait for it to end. When the weather finally broke, the temperature change was so significant that it made it feel positively tropical! I was walking around with my coat open, and smelling the fresh air as if it was springtime! Now, the change in weather was only to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit, which isn’t by any means warm. But, it was my perspective on this weather that made it feel so pleasing. Someone else coming into the 30 degree weather may have frowned upon it, and acted like “that” was miserable. However, I was super grateful for it, and loving it!
So, the key is to always be grateful for the current moment and see the positives in it. Keep the perspective that there is always something good in everything, and don’t be that person who is being a downer in the current moment. Be the person who is joyfully enjoying the moment and day for everything it is and has to offer.
