I'm doing so many techniques and thinking about how much I want to get back together with him so much that I have a feeling it's keeping me down and holding me back from happiness. But I'm too afraid to move on because I miss him and I'm afraid that I will lose him forever. I don't know what to do! Any words of encouragement would help me lots! I've been working on self love as well, but I feel like it's not helping and still just trying to survive every day. It's no way to live!

Lanie Stevens has got an mp3 meditation called Cutting the Cord that may help you. I've got that one, as well as some others of hers, and it is meant to take your energy back that you have been giving to the person and mentally cutting the cord between you. It's a way of detaching yourself, and she's claimed successful results from people who were afraid to use it for fear of losing their person. She has said it had the opposite effect and actually helped to get them back.

Thank you for your reply! Yeah I haven't tried cutting the cord because I'm very afraid that it will cause me to lose him completely if our connection is cut! But maybe I should just do it

I think it is also supposed to make him feel the loss of your energy and make him want to get it back. I don't think you need to fear doing it. I hadn't heard from my person for four years and four months, and it happened the month following when I suddenly felt nothing for him any more. Unfortunately, we had a falling out about nine months ago, but I reckon he'll be back when the time is right.

Did you do the cut the cord right before he came back?

No, I didn't know about it back then, but my point was that when I suddenly one day felt nothing for him any more, having been in love with him for years, is when he came back, and I think that cutting the cord amounts to the same thing - they feel the loss of your energy that in my case I was literally lavishing on him and want to get it back.

It's very simple. All you really do is imagine that there is a cord attaching the two of you, drawing your energy back from the other person, seeing the person become smaller and smaller until they're tiny and insignificant and you are towering over them, and then you imagine your arm becoming a knife blade and coming down and cutting through the cord. I can't remember how Lanie's recording ends, but I like to imagine him blowing away in the wind after that.
