It's normal that you can't hold this state very long at first. Don't get frustrated. Try to direct yourself back to it, but don't force it. It will come up again and again and you will be able to keep it longer and longer. Your muscle isn't trained enough yet, that's all.

Have you ever thought about getting a prop? Something physical that you can look at that may evoke those feelings again?

For example, I received a candle that had a 'mystery' ring inside of it. Once the candle burned, the ring would come out. The ring I received looks like an engagement ring. I wear it at night (its too big to sleep with it on), and the feelings of being engaged, loved, etc. come about. Just a thought.

So do you think it means something that I feel she's the one? And I get this inescapable feeling of "I shouldn't give up" no matter what? Like a chain connecting us?

It sounds weird but that's the best way I can explain it. It never happened with any exes before.

I'm in precisely the same boat. I've always been able to walk away, change states, no problem. With her...I just know. I feel her every second, and know we're together.

It's an amazing feeling and don't even try to doubt it and make it to be anything other than what it is. Now that you know these feelings you can always return to them!

Wow! It's crazy. I feel the same exact way. I too am sick (just happened yesterday) and I feel that strong connection as well. Make tears come to my eyes from time to time.
