Yes. There is nothing to change but yourself. You don't have to manipulate him or explain things. Just drop it. What would you expect were you on good terms? If he didn't text for a day, you probably would assume that he is busy, right? How would it feel like, if everything was okay? Feel yourself into that and the right thoughts will flow from that automatically (like "he is just busy" or something like that). And by feeling I don't mean emotion. Feel that it is true. Don't talk you into it or try hard to feel good about him. Feel yourself the person you would be, if everything was fine now and you will see the reflection soon.

So I would "act as if" everything was okay?

I don't use the term acting as if, because for me it means that I am faking something. This isn't about faking. This is about becoming someone before you see the evidence for it. Become the person who already has a great relationship with this guy.
Think about something you already are/have. Lets say you have a job you like. When you think "I have a job I like", feel into it. You have this sure feeling. If I would ask you, if you believe that you have a job you like, you would probably reply "No, I don't believe it, I know it". When you think "I am happy with my guy", you don't have this feeling, because right now you "know" that it isn' true. You have to get to a place where it feels exactly the same as the job. It has to be real for you. So real that you can feel it to be true, regardless of what appears.

How can I do that?

I think what makes it the easiest is to first understand fully who you are. When you accept that your consciousness is the only creative force that ever existed and will ever exist, then you have a solid trust in this. When you know that your consciousness is the only cause, you don't think that others have to behave differently or that you can't reach a goal. You know that the only thing you have to change is your own consciousness. How do you get that knowing? Studying, studying, studying, applying, applying, applying.
When you are at that point, fear and doubt should be gone. And then you start to ask yourself the question "how would I feel, if it were true?". You always get an answer to that question. It may be very weak, but you get a feeling. Do everything to practice that feeling. Use visualisation or whatever you find works for you. But don't confuse the technique with what actually works. The only reason to visualise is to evoke the feeling of having what you want now. If you don't feel that, visualisation doesn't do anything for you. When you practice the feeling, it gets stronger with time. When you find yourself thinking about things you don't want, stop it the moment you notice it and get back into that feeling.

feeling of already having it? Do I have to get into the feeling of us being on good terms again? Will this help manifest a text from him faster when I do this?

Is a text all you want? I don't think it is. Don't you have to think about the ultimate goal and not the miniscule steps such as a text? What if all you got was one text, what then? Would you be trying to get in the right vibration for just one more text?
And what if you never get a text but still think about when the next text will arrive? It's about you and who you are, not about getting a text.

What should I do then?
