Agreed. Just because it is possible doesn't mean that it is beneficial or that there isn't a more pleasant option. Even this thread is one of this "please give me confirmation" posts and from this perspective of things, one is truly stuck, because there is way too much resistance going on. As long as it feels like a big deal it will stay the way it is. As you said, it's about an inner change, not just thinking a few nice thoughts and immediately looking for the manifestation of it.
I can just speak for me, but I gained a giant amount of energy back when I stopped chasing another person. What I have learned from this experience is that I will never again "try to use LoA" to get back a person. Chances are that it makes things worse. Going with the flow is much easier and feels better.
 

I've got my own issues and problems to work on but the point I want to make is that it is possible, no matter how long it's been or the situation at hand it can all go the way YOU want it to
