Something I noticed

I'm not sure if anyone else notices this or even have done it themselves

But one thing I've realized(and I've done it before too)

Whether it's with an ex,specific person, etc.  especially if there is another person in the picture, we tend to overcompensate, panic and really try to force things instead of being "ourselves"

Even when there isn't someone else in the picture, I feel like way too many people. Get Panicy, sad, obsessive, etc and try to start forcing things.

This is why I think sometimes loa, is a curse to some.   If we didn't know about loa, I feel like most of us, would figure we have no chance and move on    The funny thing is, a lot of the time. Those people would come back or we'd realize they weren't so great to begin with and know we deserve better

But read any loa board, when has anyone ever got what they wanted by forcing things?     We all know, being desperate, etc will usually have our specific person not see us In the same light as before

Re: Something I noticed

What about if it isn't someone you want to come back, though? Just someone you would like to have a relationship with, or a friend you would like to reconnect with?

Re: Something I noticed

I used to think it was natural to act that way, that sexual jealousy is hardwired into our genes or biology as part of a way to survive...Now I'm not so sure that it's part of human evolution because so many people act differently in these situations. Some get super jealous and try to act on it like peacocks (like me lol), some get into panic mode and implode with sadness, and some just don't give a damn. They'll be like "You don't like me? That's great then because I'll meet someone who does!" What's the difference? It all goes back to self-worth, the self-concept you have of yourself, the inner knowing of who you are...And when you think about it LoA is about bringing ourselves to that realization, it's not about fighting and struggling for things and people...if you operate from a wounded ego, it just get harder. And self-worth is important in society because I've noticed this over and over again - people who have self-worth problems either intentionally or unintentionally poke holes in the self-worth of others, people with strong self-worth tend to inspire it in others. Plus, you don't win by forcing things, forcing things just attracts more forcing, if you feel that you have to force things, then you'll just manifest more of the need to force things. A common misunderstanding I see on these boards is that everyone thinks it's about the technique so they hop from technique to technique, from game to game, thinking the technique will save them. But it's not the technique that makes the difference, the technique is just a channel into a state of mind, it helps you change from within and that's the fundamental part of LoA - as within so without.

So true.  Everything you said.  I notice the techniques work better for me, when I do them from a place of love and happiness opposed to desperation and feeling like I "need" it to work

Have you ever liked someone and know they liked you, but they may have or may not have other options.  But you start pressing/forcing/etc and they react completely different to you? And changing?

Re: Something I noticed

Dan I completely agree with your initial post. In my case, I've manifested my ex back 3 times before unknowingly. Each time I felt as if I had no chance but to move on and whenever I did he came back within a matter of days. I didn't do any visualizations, meditations and I didn't even have that much self confidence. Now over two months have passed since I've been trying to intentionally manifest him back. I've been doing visualizations, meditations, acting as if, etc. and I now have more self confidence than I have ever had in my entire life and I haven't seen ANY signs that he's coming back to me. I'm not giving up, but I'm just trying to really let go and focus on other things.
