Re: Just a few questions - LoA failing me, no resistance. What?

There was absolutely resistance in both situations.

You struggle to manifest anything, period, and yet you claim to feel confident enough to predict the sex of a baby? I'm sorry but I simply don't buy that.

For the other, even though you weren't counting days, you still realized it hadn't happened yet. It may have been just about to happen but it couldn't because you turned the other way and went "hmph, my stuff never came".

I'd start smaller if I were you.

Re: Just a few questions - LoA failing me, no resistance. What?

I've always been puzzled by the concept of resistance. Some people say that the merest thought of anything negative however fleeting in connection with what you want to manifest is resistance and will wreck the outcome. Yet Colonel Roosevelt says in his experience this isn't the case.

I started a new job two months ago and had to wait over a month for the offer letter even though I was offered the job over the phone. I wondered if they had changed their minds! Did that fleeting thought - and I have a lot of issues with workplace security - destroy the manifestation? No it didn't. Can anyone explain that?

I think we need to work on ourselves to be strong and confident in as many areas as we can and things will change. I've put on weight and feel like a hippopotamus at the moment and know I don't look as good as I did last year. I'm a comfort eater and work issues drove me to chocolate addiction! That affects me a bit and I have to change it.

APpreciatw the help, but you're very wrong on the beginning parts. With this, I had zero resistance, and I was sure it was going to. E a girl. Sorry.

Re: Just a few questions - LoA failing me, no resistance. What?

I can't really give you a definitive answer because I can only talk from my experience but I've always assumed that saying "this will happen" always makes manifesting tricky because of it's tense. I find things manifest when I talk about things as if they have happened or are happening.

If EVERYONE here is telling you the problem is resistance, why would you not believe it? Why would you even ask if you don't trust the users here to guide you? Do you want help or not? Yes. You are resistant. The fact that you shut down everyone who said so shows you're resistant.

Step back and find your resistance.

You cannot be defensive and appreciative at the same time.

I shut down everyone because for that instance, about those things, I know I have no resistance. So it's highly unfair, for one to make the assumption that i have resistance with these things- it's like you saying "you have orange hair", while I say "of course I don't. It's dark brown and white", and then you come back with "if everyone's telling you you've got orange hair, why don't you believe them??" - i know me.

It's not fair for me for others to assume I've got resistance with a certain subject when I do not. I may have resistance about my girl, but definitely not these things. Please reread my first paragraph of this thread.

But while i am being defensive in this respect, I need you to know that I honestly DO appreciate the help. You took the time and effort to send me the link in the last post, you're going out of your way to help. So despite the fact that I'm being defensive (because I know me and I know how I'm feeling, better than anyone else), I actually and really DO appreciate the help. Thank you

Re: Just a few questions - LoA failing me, no resistance. What?

It's not about resistance on this one topic. It's about whether you generally have resistance and all of your posts seem to suggest you do.

You're not happy. At all. You don't really believe in LOA. So why would it work ever?

Re: Just a few questions - LoA failing me, no resistance. What?

You're resisting and I can tell you exactly why:

You're trying to prove yourself that LOA is real through smaller manifestations. If not consciously, on a subconscious level, you're still finding your new beliefs.

It's like some part of you is saying: Okay, if I can manifest this call, then I can manifest my girl as well.

No. LOA is always working, if it doesn't bring you what you think you want it doesn't mean is not working. Look at the current state of your life, look at your current relationships, look at your work, look at your health. And then look within to which parts of you allowed that kind of life.

More so, you're not on a good vibration, AKA on a good emotional state. Your higher self is still holding your desires, but they will come once you reach at least certain level of peace.

I do have resistance when I comes to this girl. But for this a I KNEW it would work. I believe in the LoA, but with my girl, I have a block, so it's hard to believe. But with small things like this, I "knew" they were going to happen.

And I'm not "sad" per se. I live and I'm fairly happy right now. I'm not the happiest, but I'm enjoying life! I DO believe in the LoA. It's  just when it comes to a specific person, free will, etc., I get tripped up.
By the way, the username made me laugh so hard! I love It's Always Sunny!
