My friend says this all the time.
She's destined to be single forever, that sort of thing.
Does anyone agree with me that it's nonsense?

Yep thats completely out of common sense.
I used to say that a lot but eventually met my gf (which is weird cause now i am trying to have a new relationship with her) and i was super excited i met her and happy and all that so yeah everyone can find someone or specific person if they want to cause deep down i always wanted to meet a new and awesome girl and I didΒ
then all hell broke loose but hey **** happensΒ

I talked to my friend today about re-reading a book I liked. Β She came back and said
"I donβt think I could re-read a book as I would know the ending. There are some really great books I have read but not sure I could read them again, if I loved it, it means I would love a life I wouldnβt have if you see what I mean."
No wonder she is so unhappy with her life with this attitude. She thinks I am relentlessly positive - I have a lot of learning to do, but in comparison I suppose I am!

She's probably frustrated with trying.

She doesn't try. She thinks what she has is it and she's got to get on with it. I've decided to leave her to get on with it as I'd wreck our friendship if I don't stop trying to change her viewpoint.

Absolutely nonsense.
There is always someone out there who is looking for you inside other people and can't find one.
I think it's just a bit of stress or something.
