Self-Love

Hey everyone. I wondered if anyone else was seeming to have issues with self-love. I wrote Veronica the other day (see posts below this one for the story), and she suggested one of the reasons we haven't reunited yetβ€”although we definitely will, make no mistakeβ€”is because I'm not in love with myself enough. It sounds corny, but I'm looking into it, and there are some things I dislike.

Some I'm working on hardcore, like getting my severe acne fixed and pushing myself to get to running more often, but others are a little more subtle. One of these with me is self-talk, where I talk down to myself. I've started writing out my issues, fears, and frustrations, screaming a bit at the paper, and then burning it. The release has felt good, and I can just about feel myself shoot up in vibrations and feel better about myself.

I'm curious: Is anyone else dealing with something similar? If so, what techniques do you use to move improve? Do you think this is as serious an issue as it can first appear?

Re: Self-Love

I think it's an issue many people have, so don't worry.

But there is something that I noticed. You seem to link self love completely to your bodily appearance, so you identify with your body and that's something that can hinder manifestations, because you don't see youself as the powerful consciousness you are but just as the human representation of it. Maybe it would be easier to start with loving your infinite powerful god part.

"Self-abandonment. That is the secret. We have to abandon ourselves to the state, in our love for the state, and in so doing live the life of the state and no more our present state. And to make the state alive, one must become it."

Re: Self-Love

Totally agree with Sanshi

Hi TheChemist, I'm in a similar situation, this week I had been feeling bad about myself, my appereance, I ask to the universe for a lot of things, some of them come quickly, but others... I'm still waiting for it.

But this week I understood that my problem was that I don't love myself enough, I need to make peace with myself, work in my weaknesess and release all the bad feelings.

As sanshi told me in my post, I need to understand what my feelings are telling me, and I finally understand that If I'm not getting what I want is because I'm rejecting myself, so I need to stop that and change my way to see life.

Today I feel better, I know that I can change everything, but I need to make peace with myself and love me and accept me and then change what I want to change about myself....

You're using a great technicke, I also write in papers the bad things and then burning them, helps a lot.

Re: Self-Love

Thank you both for your wonderful replies. I agree with you both on your advice wholeheartedly.

I think I took care of the more physical things first because they're a little easier to tackle. The mental ones, as you know, can be a little more insidious. I really like the idea of loving my infinite creator self, and I have been able to manifest little things more-or-less on a whim, so I am going to start focusing on that.Β

Also, I'm glad, Kavik, you're using the burning technique. It really cleans out my nerves and makes me feel stronger and more connected. I'm definitely going to repeat that.

Re: Self-Love

So it's too soon to say, with any definition, how much this has helped me, but I feel great after just a few days. I'm getting into the habit of talking myself up in my mind, as well as to other people, and performing mirror affirmations that have me feeling pretty damn good about myself. Thanks, guys.

Re: Self-Love

I have one book which is focused on self love. it's mirror work by Louise hey. Its like saying affirmations to yourself by looking yourself in mirror. actually by looking into your eyes. it's 21 days exercise book with journal n meditation exercises too. quite good. must try. :-)

I may look into that. I do a lot of mirror affirmations already, daily ones, looking into my sexy eyes. They help so much and I love it. It's weird how something so simple can generate so much self-love.

Re: Self-Love

yeah. that's right. in this book they have given positive suggestions like say I love you by looking in to ur eyes. say u r the most happiest person in the world. it's kind of creating some new positivw beliefs.

Re: Self-Love

Yeah, it's an amazing thing to do. I use them daily now, almost every time I go to a bathroom or pass the mirror in the bedroom. Just a quick, 'Hey, I'm pretty awesome. I love myself, and I'm happy with the way life is progressing.' It's powerful, man.
