Stay busy , this will help you not think about checking her social media. When you feel like doing this, meditate.

I bought a journal. What's best? Gratitude or manifestations?

My vote is for gratitude.  When you feel like something is missing(her), it's great to focus on what you do have.  When you're grateful for those things, more things will come. Better things(her).   I have a gratitude journal and I document things I'm grateful for each day.

What sort of things should I put in said gratitude journal?

Like, "I'm grateful for my hair" haha!

Or

"I'm grateful for the air I breathe"

I can definitely be grateful for my apartment, but what if I can't feel "grateful" for the smaller things when there's nothing significant to be grateful for? - I appreciate the help thank you

I just saw I also have another journal that came with it so win win!  B)

I personally don't like to send a message to the Universe that I feel like my life is poo because I don't have all of my desires, especially when I have so many other things.

When it comes to what I write,  It really depends on how a day went.  For example,  I had a situation with a customer going cray cray on me and I wasn't looking forward to having to recap the situation to my manager.  I"m grateful that I didn't have to and my manager apologized to me for having to go through that. It's also nice out today and I'm grateful that I am able to spend time with family and enjoy it instead of being one of those people that have to work 3 jobs.  Things like that..

I find that when you start finding things to be grateful about it only gets easier and easier. Don't worry about it too much. Some mornings my gratitudes are just "I'm grateful that my feet are warm" "I'm grateful for this cup of tea" "I'm grateful I have just enough milk for my cereal" "I'm grateful that it's sunnier when I wake up" "I'm grateful to have five minutes just to jot down what I'm grateful for"

And I'm already getting on a rollllll. And it gets quicker and easier every day.

Something I also did that really boosted me was thinking about the people in my life I'm grateful for. I sent a message every lunch break at work to a friend or family member just saying "hey, I appreciate you in my life. You're a good friend and *insert nice specific thing about person - e.g. I love your infectious laugh, 8 love how supportive you are, I love that you always make me laugh* and I am sending my love and light to you today." Or something to that effect depending on the person. I 100% got lovely, sweet messages back. And it was a win-win. I showed my gratitude and appreciation, I sent my love, and I brightened their day. And in return I got lovely messages reminding me of how awesome I am, what people like about me. And now I spend a lot more time on the phone, meeting for drinks, hanging out, with all these people who I was guilty of putting on the back burner during my grief.

There's a lot to be grateful for in life. You woke up this morning, some others sadly didn't. If you wanted water you could get it from a tap or go buy a bottle, there are people without such a privilege. You were able to access the internet to use this forum. There's so much in life. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad for the record.

Thank you so much! I hope it doesn't sound bad, I've tried it before but I never felt real gratitude (the feeling) in my gut when I wrote things out and spoke aloud and really envisioned my "gratefulness" but I will definitely try again!! I hope I don't sound like a bad person lol
