My friend's Valentine's Day

She's single though there's a guy she has her eye on and she has gone to work in socks and knickers with hearts on, sent herself a card because she thinks she's fabulous, and tonight is having a pamper session, cooking herself a meal and then watching a film with chocolates and fizz. And she has a cute new pyjama set to wear as well.

I'm jealous! It sounds wonderful.

But she thinks the universe might think she is so self sufficient she will never get the guy!

Re: My friend's Valentine's Day

Reading the first line, I felt she is loving herself. And I was mighty impressed. But after reading the last line, my entire perspective about her changed. I feel she is pampering herself because she feels this is the way of getting her crush. Which means she is working from a place of doubt in the first place. So even if she is pampering herself, at the end of the day she would not be truly happy and a one second of thought about her crush will drag her to negativity. So I am not feeling jealous anymore...

I don't think she is desperate about this guy from my own observation but she does like him. She seems perfectly happy with life in general, work and everything else from what I've seen. I think she's doing this to prove you can have a good V.Day by yourself.

Whatever my observation was, it was completely based on the last line of your post where you mentioned that she feels that Universe might not give her the guy if she loves herself. And I didn't mention that she is desperate. But I said she is using the technique not to keep herself happy, but as a step of getting her guy. So if she thinks that Universe wont get her the guy, then I feel that she wont be happy even if she pampers herself.
