Re: If we attract everything,

Well, I'll share a story from my own personal experience. I was having a really great time in school, the semester was my best yet, I was so positive, I successfully attracted nice friends, classes I loved, great grades, new opportunities, a newfound sense of confidence. But out of nowhere, something unexpected happened and it brought out a lot of frustration and jealousy in me. I was very surprised that I had these feelings because my focus and vibration before was so different, it was as if it just came out of nowhere and hooked its claws into my heart. So how was it that I was feeling so good about everything in my life and then this one bad thing happened that made me spiral down?

I researched into it by asking a very successful and popular Aber who also confirmed an idea I had. When we're happy and enjoying life (in the Vortex), we're in alignment, we're connected to our Inner Being, everything should be going good and as you stay in that space, everything should be great....But since being in the Vortex means you're super connected to your Inner Being, then the only thing that can knock you out of the Vortex is a thought from your Inner Being. So your Inner Being will send you bad thoughts as a way for you to work on your vibration. Sounds crazy right? But it doesn't in the grand scheme of Abe philosophy since we're basically here to expand, the point is not to be happy all the time because contrast helps us understand better what we really want and helps us expand. That's why our Inner Being gives us negative stuff to work on - it's part of our expansion. I know this might be controversial, and I'm a skeptic about some of the things Abe says myself. But this one made a lot of sense to me, when we're happy, we'll be guided to more of what makes us happy, and part of that journey means dealing with the tension and resistance on the way. If you've ever heard of the mono-myth or hero's journey, that's kind of the metaphor for what it's like.

After that bad incident, I tried to ignore current reality and focus on my goals, but my energy felt weighted down. I knew I couldn't ignore it because the emotions were very intense. So I accepted them instead and let myself feel them, challenged the fears and accepted them, faced them. After that, I found a new level of peace and freedom that I haven't felt in a while (and my perspective on "ignore current reality" changed a lot). So it was like my own happiness was guiding me to more of what makes me happy, but to get there I had to face and release resistance too. Sometimes what looks like a bad thing is really just a blessing in disguise.

Another explanation is Bashar's "The Echo." (read about it here:Β http://www.powerlawofattraction.com/forum/index.php?topic=8502.0) Basically, when you start to create better beliefs and feel awesome and think positive, it will seem as if nothing has changed and it's easy for that to draw you back into negative patterns. But if you persist in the positive patterns and understand that your outer world will catch up with time, then you'll keep up the change within and see results soon. That's why Bashar says "Only your state of being matters." Maybe if you stay more positive, your sister will be nicer to you...or maybe it's a nudge for you to change your perceptions of her or think differently on her, to release any tension between you.

But of course, it's all theory. You'll have to decide on your own course and see what ideas work best for you. By the way, just because Veronica, or Neville, or Abe, or Bashar, or anyone else says something doesn't make it true. You have to rely on your own reasoning and experience.

I'm a little busy right now, so I'll read this in a bit, but I just want to say in advance, that I really appreciate the response! Thank you!!

I don't believe we attract everything because if that were the case:
- Why do natural disasters happen?
- Why do children get raped/killed?
- Why do people die horrific, slow deaths due to diseases?

We don't attract every single thing. There are genuinely just evil people out there and **** sometimes does happen out of our control. The fact that a lot of LOA believers refuse to believe that is what makes this whole practice seem like a joke.

I wrote about these things somewhere in this thread: http://veronicaloa.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=4963&p=9

I don't think many people here care about LoA explaining world problems anyway..all that matters is getting the ex back lol
Β

That's sad but true,   lol I don't think most people here are about anything honestly besides getting their ex back(which prolongs their struggle of getting the ex back)

But I'm honestly starting to agree with you, when it comes to world issues, there has to be other things at play

Karma is interesting to me, at times, I don't think it exists.       I mean people who are leaders/dictators/etc. that started wars, etc.   rarely if ever face karma
