Hi everyone, I usually just lurk and take in all the lessons from people here, but I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for.
I know LOA says that in order to create our reality, our vibration has to reflect what we want to attract and that we have to believe we've already received what we've asked for from the universe. But here's my question: what's the difference between that and a state of belief/expectations outside an LOA mindset?
For example, let's say I'm in a relationship and I genuinely believe it's going well, that my feelings and beliefs about this person and the relationship are great, but then suddenly the relationship ended because that person decided it wasn't working or wasn't feeling strongly about me. But if I didn't see it coming because I was really feeling positive, how does that differ from how someone using LOA would vibe?
Or if I had a job interview and was waiting to hear back and I really was so sure I would get the offer, feeling positive and assuming I had gotten it, but then I didn't get the job. How does that differ from LOA?
I guess one could argue I didn't vibe positively enough, but there have been many times when I've thought I was feeling super positive and certain about the desired outcome.
Does that make sense?
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the differences so I can be sure I'm doing it the right way, so any insights would be really helpful.
Thank you!!

Subconsciously you might have doubts or fears, no person is 100% positive all the time because we experience a plethora of different emotions. You might have a thought that is negative or fearful that'll pop up every so often but if it's powerful enough something could manifest from it. You might see something on TV that's negative and it could stick with you for the day. It's something you can always work on improving, though. I was honestly happy with the guy I was with 2 years ago but the guy before him was a lying cheater, so every now and again it'd come to mind, eventually it become powerful enough for it to happen. It's honestly a case of catching these things if or when they arise and not fighting them. Instead allow them to be there and don't try and be positive for the sake of it, trying to fight negativity with positivity just to rid of yourself of resistance will actually create more of it.Β

There is no difference. LoA doesn't pick only the "LoA thoughts". You always send out a vibration, if you want it or not.
Most people are so unaware of their thoughts that they don't even see how much crap they think even about topics they feel positive about. It's normal for our society to worry about everything and even by thinking "I might not get this job", you create. Even by aknowledging that there is the possibility to not get the job, you create. We have a bunch of beliefs and expectations around all kind of things and we make a lot of assumptions without even realising it so much.

Thanks Staceylouuu91x and Sanshi--I know there's no difference between positive vibrations intentionally developed via LOA vs positive beliefs outside of an LOA mindset, but I was wondering if there was any difference in the way you *manage* the beliefs, so this answers my question. I'm sure I did have some negative beliefs associated with those other experiences, even though I thought I was as positive as I could be about them. But you're right, when the negative thoughts did pop up, I didn't replace them ASAP with positive ones.
Col.Roosevelt, I'm not sure what you're referring to so I guess I'm not the right person!
Thanks all!
