Sorry, not in that way!  Apologies if some of you thought I had a success story.  Actually, now you come to think of it, it IS a success story. 

I'm English, and so is my ex, but he has lived in America for so long now he talks like a native ;)

When we split up, I was in pieces.  I was quite clingy, and I see what went wrong.  However he then went abroad and decided never to return, and I moved on from that.  I had a lot of anger towards him too, but over the years that disappeared and to be honest so did he, from my mind.  However I looked him up (inspired action!) two years ago, all that anger had gone and we communicate regularly and I am very happy with that - in fact delighted to have him in my life again.  We are both completely different people now. 

He is coming back next weekend for a visit to see his parents (who live only a couple of miles from me) and I've been quite nervous at the thought of seeing him again, giddy, excited and so on.  Looking back at him now, he is still the most gorgeous man I have ever had a relationship with.  Would I want to be with him now?  Probably, in an ideal world, yes, definitely, in fact.  

However, I don't need to sleep with him next weekend because I've already done that - I would rather have him in my life the way things are and anything happening between us would complicate and jeopardise that. Having him back in my life the way he is, forgiving him for dumping me, forgiving myself for treating him how I did, is the success for me.
