Tips on silencing a wandering mind.

I'm not miserable but I'm prone to overthinking and I'm working on not allowing these thoughts in because they'll manifest into reality. I'm in the process of fixing my sleeping pattern, I'm currently a little overtired and my medication is kicking in so I can feel myself losing grip on my mind, with lack of a better term and my thoughts are getting scrambled. During the day I'll tell myself to stop and how it'll be okay, I can't really speak to myself outloud now because it;s early hours, any tips on silencing the mind?

Re: Tips on silencing a wandering mind.

Close your eyes. Put on some music (meditation or music that you love). Take 5 deeep breaths.

Try to make those thoughts go away slowly. Don't try to fight time aggressively, otherwise you'll focus on them and you'll stress about those thoughts manifesting into your reality.Β

I like to do some affirmations. It calms me. I have a Mala with me and I just repeat 108 times (can be more, can be less. A mala has 108 beads) an affirmation. For example: I'm confident about what the Universe is going to give me. Or "My love is thinking about me". "I am filled with positive thoughts" etc. etc.Β

Taking a hot bath, watching a TV show or taking a shower helps me (and drinking coffee because it makes me instantaneously in a good mood haha)Β

Last tip I did train my mind to be quiet during the day haha! I do visualization, affirmations, meditation etc, at night and in the morning. So during the day I kinda "forget" about my man, I focus only on myself and on the present moment and I feel lighter and happier and stress free Β

Re: Tips on silencing a wandering mind.

I am working on this too!!! I will get the littlest thought and it will spiral!!! I find that telling myself i have a reset button and imagine pressing it helps me and then i take deep breaths to try to calm myself.Β

I do a lot of what Justine said and it helps, taking a bath, or self talking, telling myself he is crazy about me and there is no way he would ever do me wrong. he is a great man and he loves me!!! stay strong, we all have our ups and downs!!!

Sending positive vibes your way, you got this!!!
