I am the change I want to see in the world
An ongoing force that cannot be knocked down
People want to take from you your most precious gifts
They want to pin you down and spit in your face
But that is not my story
No, because I am the creator
I am the one who writes my story
The uninvited can try to disturb me all they want
I am a warrior
Capable of fending off all who wants to see me suffer
My beliefs are my weapon that dictates just what my life will be
"You're not good enough," they tell me
I just laugh at those words, that are only words until you give them meaning
I know what my worth is, who cares what they think?
They are not in charge of sheltering me, feeding me or bathing me
I am in control
Of not those around me, but of my actions and decisions
If my life is a mess, it's because I let it be a mess
There is a reason why even in the darkest times I am able to overcome it
I have the knowledge of knowing that I choose where I am headed
There is a reason that things always fall into place for me, it is because I believe that the life I want is achievable
How are those who were once less fortunate than me, suddenly so wealthy?
Luck? No, I do not believe in luck
It is because they knew that they had the ability to change their story around
I am perfect
My flaws are what make me different
My gifts are what make me different
My beliefs are what make me different
Perfect, because that means there is only one me in existence
I would not want it any other way
