I'm not sure if you guys have read my other posts, but long story short I texted my ex and asked him to talk. He said yes and while I was there he said he missed me, it felt good to be able to hold me again and asked if we could hang out soon. Today, my friend called me and told me she wanted to tell me something. She asked me not to get mad and that she was just trying to protect me. Apparently, he has been seeing another girl and they've been each other's date to every football game this season. Right after that, he posted a picture of them together on social media. I'm trying not to be sad right now and I'm reminding myself that I am talking to other people so it's okay if he does too. I have no doubt that our positive interaction the other day was from all the work I've been doing to better myself and think positively. However, I'm just not sure what to do next. Should I reach out to him next weekend and see if he wants to hang out? I am so thankful for the initial communication but I don't want to wait too long and miss the opportunity for us to talk again. I know this might be a little pessimistic or impatient but I just need to know where we stand now. I feel that if I don't go for it now, I may always wonder what could've been... Anyway, advice would be much appreciated.
