I understand what you're trying to say and I appreciate your perspective.  In my opinion, I didn't waste anything - I chose to express myself, not in irritability, as you perceive, but to simply express myself/opinion in a way that actually felt good.  To me, it was about me positively communicating my point and my expectations. No more, no less. 

Moving on - I have since figured out the fake texts apps - turns out there's a lot out there for iphones, and SMS, and even What'sapp and they're super simple and fun!  

If there's anyone else out there who has similar confusion or questions on how they work, I'm happy to share what I've learned.
