High Vibration Question

I always thought that if we're in a high vibration (feeling love, joy, freedom, and optimism) than we attract what matches our higher vibration. Things might appear to fall apart but it's just creative destruction to bring you more of what you're truly feeling and vibrating at.

Erin Pavlina says there are some downsides to being in a high vibration: http://www.erinpavlina.com/blog/2013/11/the-downside-of-being-at-a-high-vibration/

One downside is that people might act like energy vampires sucking off your positive vibes and leeching off of you. It reminds me of how a negative friend complains about their life all the time to a positive friend and then the positive person feels a bit drained.

I always thought that when you're in a positive vibration than negative people will either be uplifted by it to put up and shut up lol, or they will simply move out of your reality (like you'll miraculously find that they're not there as much as in your life).

What do you think?

Like you, I thought negative people would disappear from my reality while I was/am vibing high. I've experienced this. I had a really miserable friend who was always complaining and feeling sorry for himself. I tried to help him see things in a positive light but he wasn't having it. Eventually the friendship ended and I know I'm better off. But, lately I've noticed a different result. Since I've moved home to stay with family for a while, I find my positive attitude almost seems to make them uncomfortable at times. Like a few of my family members are pretty negative and close minded in their thinking and it almost seems as though they're threatened by my positive attitude. It makes me a bit uncomfortable. I almost feel like I'm doing something wrong by being happy and not joining in the pity party. I try not to think that way though and I try not to take it personally. My happiness is important and I have a right to feel happy. I'm not going to let them bring me down. I suggest spending as little time as possible around people like this. It's hard for me now because I had to move home for a while due to a break up. I am moving back to my city again in a month and a half and I'm relieved because I'll be able to distance myself from some of these negative relatives.

My family is very negative too. They don't believe in relaxing and things getting better. They are huge doubters and I always distance myself from that which gets them angry and they always put me down. They feel like I am useless and a waste. I learned that it was me letting them get to me, even about my relationship and career performance. Being here is overwhelming at times.

Whoa I just wrote this morning about being around negative family members and that makes sense, I been feeling really good vibes and lovely and this morning was like a hit from left field. I learn to just remember this forum and to go out into nature and take a walk. I'm glad if anything we have each other to bounce some good and high vibes off each other

Re: High Vibration Question

Why do some people call loa a scam or a hoax? Why is it that whenever it comes to anything spiritual it is some sort of cult?

They can't see it. There is no reputable scientist who talks about it. They don't bring it in the news. It's completely different to everything we learned and it is not our experience because we normally don't know what we are thinking and the time gap makes it even harder to see the relationship between thoughts and reality. What I learned is that it doesn't make any sense to try to convince other people that LoA is real. Some are ready to hear it, others not. They have their own timing and that is ok. Just don't let their doubts affect you.
