Hi beautiful people,
I am terribly sorry if I've made the forum difficult to post in- this is my favourite place to be so obviously that's not great if you can't use the forum due to my lack of organisation skills 😜
The rationale for my whacky forum layout is this..
It is actually divided into high vibration, a learning area, a lower vibe section for people who are having a rough day, and then the challenge area. And what it does in that layout is keeps people focussing where they are currently vibrating at. So de people like me who are steadily in a high vibe, we can help out the folks who are struggling. But in my experience, reading those posts when you are still learning can seriously create more negative momentum. So people who are still trying to consistently work on raising their vibration would stick more so to the "High flying" or "Immediate Alignment" areas- to keep that positive momentum going. I'm not a web designer, but I just thought dividing the threads VIBRATIONALLY might be useful for people who are working hard at focussing.
I've had quite a bit of feedback from Vera, see below. Please add what you think needs to be changed- I was just going with a format that seemed intuitive, and one that was not so clinical per se.. but I admit my absolute limitations when it comes to forum design! 🙋 So please add your feedback, because I want you to ADORE this forum, I certainly never intended to create any confusion or irritation.. 💜
Vera's suggestions:
If I can make a suggestion, since the forums has become a bit confusing now, like I don't even know where to post. My suggestion would be to organize the boards in this way:
Admin Section
Forum News and Announcements
Comments and Suggestions
Veronica's Videos and Ebooks
General
Introduce Yourself
General Discussion
Non-LOA Lounge
LOA and Relationships
Get Your Ex Back
Attract a Specific Person
Improve Your Marriage
Improve Other Relationships
LOA and Wealth
Money and Wealth
Career
Business
Abundance
LOA and Health and Beauty
Weight Loss
Physical Appearance
General Health
LOA Teachings
Abraham
Neville
The Secret
Others
Manifestation Techniques
Gratitude
Affirmations
Remote Influence / Seduction
Visualization
Subliminals
Vision Boards
Detachment
Others
These are just suggestions. You can change the name of each board or reduce the number of boards per section. I suggest that the board names should be clear at first look so we won't have to read further what it is about.
Also, each board should have their own stickies. Example: LOA and Health should have sticky posts so it's easier to search for them. I also think that Viber should not have its own board because it's only literally one thread.
Sucess stories should be pinned / made into stickies. We have to qualify what a success story is though coz some would consider getting a text a success and then eventually their manifestation disappears.
Challenges should also be pinned on boards where they belong. Example: for gratitude challenge, it should be pinned under the gratitude board. For weight loss challenge, it should be pinned under weight loss. For "get your ex back in 25 days", it should be pinned under "get your ex back" board.

^ I like the above suggestions, though I do already like the forum as is now - it's a huge improvement! The colours are warmer and more inviting and the new boards are really exciting though I do understand how they may be slightly confusing to some. I think it would help to navigate the new boards if we had a latest topics sidebar (then one wouldn't need to look so hard trying to find new posts etc.) but then, I think Boardhost may not offer the possibility of installing one.
You're doing a great job, Cherished! Thanks for giving your all to making this place better and better. 💜 💜 💜

Boardhost are pretty basic, so the functions and options are limited. I can't add a sidebar, which is a shame because it would have been my first installation!

Yeah, I did have a look around their site and couldn't see anything that would suggest they allow a sidebar function. I have a vague idea they maybe allow CSS (?) but though I love techie things like this I'm unfortunately not advanced enough to have any idea of how to make a sidebar widget manually. 🐣 😜
Anyway, loving all the amazing new changes!

Nor am I, but we are looking into that. So if you look at the forum in desktop mode you can see the latest updated threads. The only other option is to keep everyone posting in the general discussion thread, so you can immediately glance the new posts.
The reason we needed to begin archiving was because there were 109 pages of posts full of incredible info that aren't being read at all. It's such a shame to have a wealth of knowledge that can't be searched or easily found. That's why I began to archive appropriately.

Yeah I think the one-stop alignment shop is a great idea! It's brought so many awesome threads to the surface. Gold
And yeah I like the idea of the latest updated threads being in one place when you view the forum in Desktop Mode.
It was easier to find the newest posts when they were all under General Discussion in a way, but to be honest I was always missing lots of posts anyway because we get so much activity here, and not all of the threads interested me. So I like the fact that we now have subforums that I can just skip over if I don't want to read the posts on them. In this way it actually has become easier to find the most recent posts I'm interested in! 😍
Btw, I'm Aussie too 🐨 - G'day mate (let's make everyone think all Aussies say that 😉 )

You're an Aussie?!?! AW HIIII!!!! Lol, don't we ride kangaroos to work? 😂
Can you see the updates in desktop mode better? Or is it still irritating?!
My hands are kind of tied, the only other way to do it is to keep everyone posting in the Gen discussion thread and when the thread slows down I can archive it later? It's just a shame because as I've looked through all 109 pages I've found some INCREDIBLE threads that have only had 3 or 4 views! That can't happen!

Yessss!!! I've also been the victim of two drop bears 😜 lol.

Oh I hadn't noticed them yet Is it the "Show new posts/topic" thing at the right-hand side? If so it works perfectly 👏 - I just hope people read this thread so they know it's there.

I can't speak for everybody, but I'd prefer it the way it is now. Not just because you've gone to so much trouble, it just seems so much better organised than it was. Before, I was thinking for a while that some subforums would be nice (as well as a theme/colour change). And look, it didn't take me so long to manifest it! 😎

Yeah exactly, before you had to do a search and you probably would still not find everything, this way with the different categories it's a lot easier to find the things you need!

Yeah I like it as is already too though I also like Vera's suggestion. I think the "vibes" sections is a good idea because some days, just reading too many negative posts is enough to shift me to a more negative emotional space. I haven't thought about any of this too deeply but I was just assuming that somehow the good vibes would end up in one place the way they are right now - I love that we have a "Help get me into alignment" section, I think it's really appropriate.
