Hi, I was talking to a friend and we both had the following:
What is the difference between being indifferent vs being expectant regarding manifesting a relationship with an ex/specific person?
Thanks!

I was thinking about you today! ππ
To me, the difference lies in your inspiration. If I'm indifferent about something, my energy is neutral. Which is fine. Whatever I'm manifesting will come sooner or later because I'm non-resistant, and not obsessing about it.. But with positive expectation, you've now hit the vibration of eagerness, excitement, and you can think in passionate ways about your manifestation. To me, that's a much more exciting way to live. But I have a friend who is happy just remaining indifferent. She still manifests things, although she also says that some days she would love to feel the eagerness that comes with lining up with something specific, and deliberately bringing it into her physical reality. To me, that is WAY more fun! ππΌπ

I think part of the confusion is about non-attachment. We're supposed to be unattached to the outcome in order to manifest, but we're also supposed to be excited and expect it?

An analogue - you are hungry and you go out to eat. The waitress gives you the menu and asks you what you want.
Indifference - you respond just bring me food cause I'm hungry
Expectant - I want a specific dish because I know it tastes good and have been looking forward to eat it since I left home.
When you are indifferent to your desire your attitude is basically "if it comes great if it doesn't come no problem". When you are expectant you know it's coming and there is an element of underlying excitement that it's coming but assuming you are fully detached you go on about your life know at any given time it will come but you don't look for it or try to force it.

Yeah, this used to confuse me a lot when first trying to manifest stuff. Now, I think it's OK to focus on our desire/goal as long as you keep feeling better and better about it, that tells you if your focus/thoughts are in the right direction. I manifested something I thought would never happen but I focused on the feeling of having it while visualizing, and that feeling just took over until I was so confident and relaxed about it that I didn't need to think about it anymore, but I still wanted it, I just knew I had it already. This may help too:

Thank you so much everyone! It makes a lot more sense now. Being expectant seems to be a lot more exciting and fun!
