Silly me

I've been off social media for a week now but I broke my fast (it was supposed to end today anyway) and posted a photo because a bunch of my co-workers and I were in stripes today.

My love liked the photo. We're still friends on social media and he'll sometimes like my posts.

And every time, I would wonder: WHY?!?!

Well just now, it dawned on me it's no use to question why. He likes my posts because HE LOVES ME.

And now I feel better.

That's all.

Re: Silly me

You got it! He just needs some time to work on himself so that he can be the best version of himself, because that is what you deserve. He knows that.

Re: Silly me

Great news all around. He is yours that's why he liked your photo.

My love texted me Happy Birthday today. It's a start. So happy.

Re: Silly me

Haha thanks guys. I just wish I'd learn to shut up and resist the urge to start a conversation with him. He messaged me today with something work-related and I initially replied with a simple "thanks." After a while, I decided to message him about my day and shared something. Seen-zoned.

Re: Silly me

But it's not always about learning to shut up! Well.. If I'm totally out of alignment I am quiet as a mouse! Lol. But its more about acting from a place of alignment, and then backing what you say with your vibe. I learnt this from Veronica. Its not about holding back, or playing the aloof card. It's about knowing that NOTHING you say or do could be wrong. If you're in alignment and inspired to say something, express it! Veronica told me to write from my heart and be passionate.  You want this to be an experience that YOU are in, not pretending to be someone you are not. Don’t let yourself doubt who you are. When you say something, mean it with your heart. Send it with love. And then back it up with a vibration of confidence, knowing that you are speaking your truth. πŸ’œ

Re: Silly me

Thanks, Cherished! That makes soooo much sense. It's so true that we tend to forget who we really are following difficult situations, like break-ups.

I think for now, I need to step back once again with the communication because I'm still coming from a place where I feel like I have to be aloof and make myself scarce so ~he'll wonder what's up~. IDK WHY, it's such a typical thing to do. I stepped back from social media (which is totally not me, I'm pretty funny on Twitter) and I realized that I enjoy not knowing what all these people are up to.Β

I'm going to try and think about all this during my commute home tonight (it takes me 1.5 hours anyway lol) and come to a decision when I get home.

I ALSO HAVE TO PREPARE A SET LIST BECAUSE I'M DJ-ING AT A VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY ON SATURDAY. I thought of inviting him but I realized I'd be okay if he didn't go. Anyway, I'm feeling the pressure. My love is a DJ and I've only DJ-ed solo once before. All the other times, we DJ-ed as a couple and I just gave him songs and he was in charge of playing them haha. Now I have to beat match and familiarize myself with the software again and all that.

Hee, thank you. ❀️

Funny cos I felt like a total loser post-breakup when I'm really obviously not and I'm slowly getting back into that (but a kinder, more vulnerable version of me.)

Oh, and I told him about this name study I came up for a work project and it turns out that he went to a place called that when he was overseas WTF. At first, I thought "ugh, I thought my name idea was so clever and original" then it dawned on me hours later: "wait a minute, what are the chances?! Synchronicity or something" lol. Of course I replied to him with the dejected mentality so I got seenzoned.

Hehehehe BE MORE SELF-AWARE AND CATCH YOURSELF NEXT TIME, GABBY!!!
