Hey guys! I've been lurking around the freeneville.com website and came across the concept of revision. Basically when something happens to you that you don't like, you imagine it differently to the point where that FEELS like the new memory. This prevents you from repeating the past over and over.Β
So today I got an email from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) that the segment I'm featured on will be on tomorrow morning. My guy had asked me to tell him about it when it happened so he could tune in. So I messaged him to let him know. However, a couple of weeks ago I had asked him out and he rejected me and we hadn't spoken since. So I wasn't feeling very good about messaging him, but I did it anyway.
I told him the date and time of the broadcast and the link to listen to it online later if he was working and he said "oh cool". My stomach sank. "Oh cool?" wow rude lol. Then he said he was working so he wouldn't be able to hear it live. I said that was fine and that I wasn't listening live either cause I had school. I was so upset at his "dismissive" tone and then I remembered about revision. My reaction was only what I was perceiving the situation to be. Maybe he wasn't being rude at all. Maybe he wasn't annoyed with me. Maybe he was just upset he couldn't hear it live! There could be a million reasons. Maybe he just forgot an emoji lol But I automatically jumped to a negative without even thinking! So I sat down and I imagined the conversation differently. I imagined him congratulating me and saying how proud he was of me. I imagined this until there was a real smile on my face.
An hour later, he replied "Remind me tomorrow night, proud of you ;)"

Awesome . Neville's techniques do work great. He had such a great mind to discover these things.
I might try this one.
Also, congrats on your TV spot! :-)
