Almost a year ago I met someone who I instantly clicked with. We had a great relationship, but things moved too fast and he decided we should only be friends. For the past year we talked on and off and attempted to be friends, but I still had feelings for him. I moved abroad to study for a semester and my whole life changed. We didn't really talk much while I was abroad and I really learned how to love myself again. I had always tried to manifest him back into my life, and I did.. but only a sexual relationship, not really a serious relationship with him. In my journal entries and scripting, I would write that we have a "romantic relationship." Where did I go wrong? How can I manifest an actual serious, loving relationship?

By doing what Neville called 'living in the end of the wish fulfilled', which means imagining the relationship you want with this person as if you already have it now. If you want to be married, for example, you would imagine wearing an imaginary wedding ring and living in your own home in the ideal relationship with the person. I would recommend reading and/or listening to Neville Goddard. I prefer his book The Law and the Promise because it contains many success stories from people who used Neville's teachings to attain their goals in sometimes miraculous ways.
