I've copied a link to my last thread. The person in question - I have as I said sort of "tracked" him on a form of social media. This isn't facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any of that but a sports interactive site. I'm on it as a lurker rather than a participant, as a couple of my friends and former workmates are, and I often comment on their activities. With this guy, I have looked at what he's been up to, and clicked, occasionally (very occasionally) on the "kudos" button which is similar to like on Facebook - probably a maximum of five times. I've never contacted him or posted or anything. I was curious to see what he was doing and thought that if he saw the clicks, he might be curious too. Now, I see he has made his account private which you have to request to follow - and which I am not going to do - to avoid being told no or thought of as a bunny boiler. I got that shocked feeling inside when I realised what he'd done. My first thought - he's done this to stop me reading his posts. Second thought - how the hell am I ever going to meet up with him? Third thought - forget about him - I have the "looking in a shop window at something you can't afford" feeling now.
I was once trying to attract someone back and I couldn't do the visualising about that person, because I felt I couldn't bear imagining something I couldn't have. That, of course, failed. I feel a bit the same now - though until I saw the "request to follow" I would happily RS/visualise this guy I am writing about today, now I don't feel I can.
Aarrgghh!!!
