Changing my thoughts/changing my life

Good morning everyone! I have a question and would love to hear everyone’s thoughts/opinions/advice. I was introduced to the Law of Attraction approximately 3 years ago. I have attracted some pretty cool things into my life in that time, including a new job and even a house of my own! However, I am still working on attracting my ex back. I know this is a topic that is very emotional for me so I’ll do quite well with my thoughts for awhile and then spiral down hill and repeat the cycle over and over. I know this keeps me from my desire but some days I just can’t seem to get myself into a better place mentally or emotionally. (Not just about my ex but about life in general.)

My question is: how do you bring yourself up when you can’t find those good feeling thoughts? I’m in a place where I’m starting to see everything negatively, I’m not happy with myself and I’m not happy with my life situation. I know these thoughts and feelings just attract like thoughts and feelings into my life. I’ve tried watching uplifting LoA videos, hanging with friends, enjoying my favourite treats, visualizing situations that give me that happy feeling, exercising, etc etc but I still drop back into this place where I feel kind of miserable and can’t see things getting better.

Any thoughts on how I can lift myself up? I know everything I attract is dependant on me and I understand that but I am having so much trouble loving myself and my life as it is and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Any thoughts or advice would be very much appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️

When I am feeling negative, I find it useful to do the 'what if' sort of imagining - for example, 'what if he rang me and apologised and said he wanted me back', 'what if I had the means to buy the house  I want', 'what if he and I were happily married', or whatever it is that you want.
I also find it helpful to tell myself things like I am loved, I am wanted, I am respected, I am first best, I am top priority.

The first man to raise a fist is the man who has run out of ideas.
