That is extraordinary from someone you met once or was it twice?

Once.

I asked her why she'd talk about visiting me again, to going to India, to skydiving, really spending all of this time hiding out from her roomates in her car, talking to me, video chatting, etc. Why imagine future things we could do when she knew all the while it owuldn't work out?

She replied

"The only answer is MY PAPRENTS DID NOT GIVE ME ANY CHOICE ANYMORE. They called me previous week and told me very clearly that I do not have a choice. When I know that I do not have a choice there is no point pressurizing it. And I am telling you it is not worth hurting over me so PLEEEASE don't pleassseee please I beg you."

Super. So she's just going to walk out of my life for good. Great. Yeah, that about lines up with life.

Re: Moving on...

I think the age difference on this forum shows sometimes..

a lot of people who are surprised about this are 30 or older.

people around the ages 16-28  just have a whole different way of operating  than people 30 and over

this is just how the "new generation" is  and I suspect it to get even weirder/more complicated for generations after

You are making me feel old, Dan, a good old 1984 vintage.

Haha sorry.         Dating is so weird nowadays

That's why I don't blame YIW for being confused

A lot of younger people are scared to fall in love(well I'm sure everyone is). But people will say one thing but mean the opposite.

With the younger generation.   People being distant and stuff, can be a sign of them liking you.  So it's hard to tell sometimes lol

I'm a what you see is what you get sort of person. Say what I mean and expect others to do the same. I can't abide stuff and nonsense.

See that? Right there...you may have a belief/ attitude that love is hard or you're not worthy of love or that there will always be something in your way. What can you do to shift that attitude/ belief?

Maybe drink? That's definitely on the table. I dunno yet. Trying to sort how I'm feeling out.

Well. I just wish she'd change her mind. Wish things would work out. I'm so tired of this happening. Every goddamn time.

Re: Moving on...

I apologize. I genuinely didn't realize she was playing you. She seems like she's getting her ego stroked by the attention. She knew she was going to have an arranged marriage yet continued to date outside of what/who her parents would choose for her. Not only that, she's getting way too deep. She's blocked you, but is still messaging you? That's a mind game there. This seems very melodramatic for the sake of dramatics. Don't feed her ego. I'd just stop now. This one is aiming to hurt you.
