Confused about wording...

I been reading some tips on how to ask the universe for what you desire and what not and there is something that confuses me. I keep seeing the universe doesn't recognize words like "no, not, don't" etc. What confuses me is I've also heard don't think things like I'm not rich or please don't let us not be together. My question is if the universe doesn't recognize not don't and other negative words why is there a contradiction there??

Re: Confused about wording...

Thank you for the video it helped clear some confusion I had. I was also wondering if asking more than once is a bad thing?

Re: Confused about wording...

If you're asking for something more than once then it looks like you don't really trust the universe to give it to you. We need to only ask once and it is done.. So to ask repeatedly implies you lack faith. It also shows lack, if you keep asking it means you keep not having it which means you'll keep not getting it...Β

Maybe you can ask once and then from then on speak as if you already have it.. eg. "I would like this car" and then from then on say "I'm so thankful to have this car!". Hope this helps.

I didn't watch the video, so maybe it was already said in it, but you ask automatically. Is not that you have to phrase the perfect order to the universe. The moment you look at something you like, it's there for you. The moment you look at something you don't like, the opposite is there for you. So, you can't really ask twice, because you don't do it consciously. It's an unconscious process and the moment you find a new preference, it's done.

"Self-abandonment. That is the secret. We have to abandon ourselves to the state, in our love for the state, and in so doing live the life of the state and no more our present state. And to make the state alive, one must become it."

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. There were so many times when I said "I have it, it's mine," and it never happened. There were also times when I said "It won't happen, time to move on," and then it did happen. In my experience, "no, not, and don't" really do not have much of an impact. Instead, find the thoughts (story) of freedom, optimism, personal power, confidence, love, wealth, etc. These thoughts may have "no, not, and don't" in them, but it doesn't matter because of how the thoughts make you feel. So find the thoughts that empower you and make you feel closer to who you really want to be. One of my favorite quotes from General Patton is "I don't fear failure, I only fear the slowing up of the engine inside of me which is saying, 'Keep going, someone must be on top, why not you?" According to some people out there, "don't" shouldn't register, so by repeating this quote in my mind I should be even more afraid of failure but it's not the case at all, I'm more motivated and less afraid - so that's one example of why I don't take the "no, not, and don't" people seriously.

It's not about asking; it's about being, about feeling. You can ask as many times as you want, but if there's a disconnect between you and the consciousness behind having your desire, things may not work out. We attract what we are, so whatever you wish to draw into your life, see first that you are conscious of being in the essence behind what you desire. For example, I thought I failed an exam and it made me feel very frustrated and sad. And then I realized that the only reason I want to ace the exam is to feel confident and secure in my life, to feel like success is mine. What I really want is success, confidence, and financial prosperity - the essence of all of this is freedom. From that perspective, in the essence of that desire, the exam result doesn't even matter because I can have my desires even if I fail the exam. So first I allowed the sadness and fear to pass through me by feeling it, and then with a newfound "energy" I said to myself "Screw it! I'm Warren Buffett!" I started walking downtown and seeing the world as if I'm rich, visualizing myself on a speeding yacht because I'm rich, imagining prosperity and an abundant flow of money to all because I'm rich...I reminded myself of how rich I am and acted as if...and that's when I got excellent exam results and other good things. So to me it's not about asking, it's about being, getting into the feeling state behind what you really want in your life.Β Β
