I've got a question, in case anyone has dealt with this before.
I've learnt and I'm still going through Neville's material. I logically believe in it and am applying it although not as quickly as I would like. But anyway, I know what I have to do and am doing it. I believe it logically, I've read enough examples to believe in it. There's no reason to have any doubt and I have no genuine doubts about the possibilities.
However...does anyone else, despite genuinely believing in it, have that part of you that almost seems like it's being contrary just for the sake of it, bringing up doubtful thoughts? Almost like, "yeah it can work but here's some unwanted thoughts for you that contradict your desire"...
I could do some mindfulness and hope for the best in these moments...but I can't stop on the street to meditate...so does anyone have any useful techniques they use to just snap out of it in the moment? Eventually just by living in the end result I suppose it will just stop anyway but until I'm fully in that state, what do I do?
I'm not actually thinking these thoughts and following through the train of thought based on any real doubts. It's almost like it's just...there...the general feeling which of course generates thoughts. So anyway, it's just annoying, and it takes me a bit of time to get into a state where I'm relaxed enough to go into my imagination so I can't at the moment just do what Neville has spoken about where people will stop for a couple of seconds and visually imagine things different. It's more like I need to shift my state, in a physical/emotional way, in the present moment. Maybe the only way to do that is through imagination, but if anyone has discovered anything useful, it would be good to hear about.

Same! Iβm having this problem, too. Itβs like I was reading a post Iβve made myself, lol.
Iβve heard that with time and persisting (continuing to live in the end before sleep) these thoughts should eventually subside. The idea is that you are impressing your subconscious mind with your ideal scenario that eventually it believes it, then the more your subconscious believes it the less these contradictory thoughts will plague you. Eventually you will reach a point where you donβt even feel the need to replay your ideal scenario in imagination because your subconscious mind has been successfully impressed with the thought that you already have it, then boom it shows up in your reality. This last statement is usually why people think you need to let go in other to manifest. You donβt NEED to let go because βletting goβ will naturally happen.
But anyways, sorry for going off on a tangent π
. It would still be helpful to hear what others have done to successfully tackle this problem (seeing as Iβm in the same boat).

Haha, yes you're right, and I have had some good advice about overcoming doubt before which I will revisit, it's just that this time it somehow felt different, hence why I felt the need to ask about it...it was hard to explain. But maybe it is exactly the same thing and I'm over-complicating it. It just felt like an alter-ego xD normally I would just persist in staying mindful and not letting it get ahold. It stopped anyway but I don't know what I did. I probably sound like I'm talking gibberish xD
