This is the nastiness I'm talking about as I don't like the attention I'm asking for assistance or posting something not for the attention.

I'm gonna be honest and say I'm gonna ask for admin to step in here as I wasn't being nasty at all.  And this comment is pretty assuming and nasty when I wasn't really speaking about my posts in particular I was speaking about others I have seen too.

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

I wrote a success story and got no comments although one poster did PM me.

See this too my main point is it's not just the align me thread it's even in questions too that's all.

People may need help with questions so I guess y'all should take away the help me align section?

I also think that some people shouldn't be allowed to be nasty to others because they are in a negative state. I also think that some people shouldn't be nasty because some other members may not agree with their version of loa . Loa is like the Bible everyone interprets it differently . Because that brings people down and brings negativity as well.  Main thing you are what you believe

Happyinlove, your questions have been answered many times by many different users here & on viber. You will not get any different response by creating a new username & asking the same stuff over & over again. 😊

Oh crap...they're the same person? LOL 😆

No need to be rude that's not very positive . Sorry but that does come off as rude

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

I do think we all need to be supportive to one another I do think though that how someone feels when they post a comment or question has a lot to do with how people will respond to it.  For example, if you are feeling really low, it might be hard to attract some helpful comments.  The low vibration affects everything.  But, sometimes it's hard to get out of that low state and help from others can be really beneficial.  So, I think it's important to remember that we all have been in a state like that and to extend love and support even if it's just a few words of good wishes that the person's situation gets better.

I do also see the frustration behind people who are trying to help and having some users seem sort of stuck in an endless loop of asking the same thing over and over again.  I think we can always only help ourselves.  And, change happens when we are ready to do it.  Sometimes it is helpful to seek professional help if you find yourself really depressed or feeling hopeless.  Remember, the advice on this board is not meant to be a substitute for professional help if it's really needed in your situation.  It's ok to seek out a therapist.  Sometimes it can help you have an added boost of taking care of yourself and suddenly the world will seem bright, shiny and new again

I think we should all try to always be empathetic towards one another.  :D

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

Thanks Veronica for suggesting sometimes people should seek professional help.

When it comes to success stories, I usually post on them. But my version of 'success' isn't always the same as other peoples and that's okay but I'll post on threads where it's really all come together.

I don't tend to post on 'it's working...I got unblocked, or a like on FB or a how are you text?' because I have seen too many people get over-excited and think it's all happening how they want and come back to say nothing else happened or they then got a text or even a meeting that said the person actually is with someone else now or told the poster they won't ever be together.

And the poster feels even worse than they would have before conciously using LOA because they really believed it was all coming true and lots of people here celebrated and told them it was.

So I hold back till its a solid situation. Not because I'm not happy if someone feels happy that they got a text but because I've seen it doesn't always mean exactly what they hope.

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

Even though created with the best intentions, this is more of a relationship counselling corner than actually a LOA forum. If you would go to an Abraham workshop, a general LOA coach or even a community LOA meetup and only talked about getting your ex back they probably would think you're crazy and say goodbye. LOA on the internet is marketed to be materialistic but really it's about finding peace within our inner selves.

My neighbour found solace in LOA. She decides to walk her dog without a leash and says he would only run away if she set the intention. I decided to let my dog play with her dog in the park and took off his leash. Next thing you know the dogs ran onto the road and I was screaming like a mad woman because I was so scared he would get hit by a car. At the end of the day, she wasn't worried because she had enough faith in her dog. I however almost had a mini heart attack. I don't care LOA or not, I am not letting that override my common sense to leash my dog.

As well, online people hide behind a screen and are generally meaner to each other. I've been on other forums for TV shows or news sites and people are generally just rude. If you speak to these same people face to face you are more likely to just be nicer to each other. In fact, cyber bullying has become a bigger problem than 10 years ago due to the emergence of social media.

If you're genuinely interested in learning about LOA, I would suggest you find a general LOA coach (not ex back), read classical literature from Neville, Abraham or Joseph Murphy to name a few (I'm not the biggest fan of the Secret), or go on meetup.com to look for an LOA group and meet in person.

Otherwise, if you need help with your relationship issues, speak to a counsellor who can help guide you through those.

As I posted earlier today, the law of attraction is only one of the universal laws but I think it has been zoned in on because it is the one that brings you "stuff".

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

I read almost every new thread, but I don't respond to most of them. Sometimes I have nothing helpful to say (such as the poster who questioned what she could do about her family's religious and cultural beliefs. I have absolutely nothing helpful to say and I can't pretend to understand). Other times I see the same people posting the same things and asking the same questions repeatedly. In these cases, I think people are fishing to be coddled and when they aren't they get angry. I saw a thread get pretty ugly not long ago because someone happened to remember the backstory. It's frustrating for those who want help, but it's also frustrating for those who are trying to help and they're told to go to hell for it. Sometimes I do see people just need encouragement and I simply don't respond. It's not that I'm selfish or don't empathize. Honestly, a lot of the people reaching out have very long back stories and I just don't have time to sit and focus on a thread for a half hour. I mean, I write essays, but some of these are long! I skim the first few paragraphs before I simply move on.

I wouldn't take it personally. I don't think I've ever stared a thread that's had more than 2-3 responses. I still like to take part in the forum anyway. I do get a lot of responses and interactions otherwise. Don't take it as rejection. Sometimes people just don't respond for a variety of reasons.

Re: why do so many people read and run ? :(

I hear you.I guess some people just cant handle negative comments even if they are meant with the best of intentions.I was really needy, desperate etc when first joined this forum .. several members pointed this out and advised me of the importance of self love, I was a little hurt at some the comments stating i was being needy but I now know its what I needed to hear at the time - I'm really grateful to those members who put me on the right path.I worked on myself, my business, focused on my kids and getting my house in order and manifested him back, twice .. it's better than its been in a long time and i know we are meant to be so sticking with the long distance thing and now looking at it that my glass is half full - basically focusing on all the positives than negatives and its working well.I now try and pass on the same advise on various loa forums that helped me - with varying degrees of gratitude lool
