Ignoring Reality

So I'm having a lot of trouble just ignoring reality, especially after she unfriended me on Facebook this week. That thought, while completely unimportant, keeps imposing itself on my mind and I'm having a difficult time avoiding it, even though it has helped me quit stalking her on social media.

Does anyone have any advice on ignoring this reality? What do you do to stop thinking about unpleasant aspects of your current reality so you can manifest something better? I get the feeling this is slowing me down this week, despite my other progress.

Re: Ignoring Reality

Blocking someone on Fb means nothing...I myself blocked my love from FB after we had a fight but look at me.....this makes no sense that she forgot u, maybe she is thinking about u all the time. Ignoring reality - I dont know...it will take some time, when u feel u actually dont need that person back, I mean good if they come back but if they dont- who cares! Its your mind, which will make all the difference....but how to do it....well I am in no contact since last 3 months and I have stopped doing visualizations, and affirmations....I do only when I feel like, coz when u are still low, all u do is "to get him/ her back" But that gives no result, start to love them unconditionally and feel they are with you....move on with your life (easy said than done) but u will be fine within a few months, once u let go (which even I have to learn) things so fall in place....we all have our own "RIGHT TIME" //// Wait for that....

Re: Ignoring Reality

Yep, you really do have to ignore present circumstances.Β  Just carry on with the vibrational work and TRUST that it IS working to change things for the better.

Re: Ignoring Reality

Thank you all for your support so far. I'm distancing myself from Facebook and, whenever a thought of the current situation comes into mind, I try to allow it to simply roll off of me, and I'm seeking the right time.

Pixel, I'm actually doing a lot of visualizing and RS stuff, so I love the suggestion that it's working, that she's reacting to it. It makes a lot of sense, and I believe you fully on that, even though we're not supposed to cling to signs. The vibrational work does feel pretty good overall.

I have had some success improving my life. I got a new job, moved into a very nice apartment in a new city, and I'm making friends and all. Honestly, I'm more confident and happier than I have been in ages.

On that note, when you guys are feeling down and need a distraction, what do you do? I've started running a bit and hiding in books/movies, as well as going out with friends, but they're short-term solutions. What works for you guys?

Re: Ignoring Reality

You can't really ignore reality, because ignoring implies that you stop thinking and you can't do that. What you can do is shifting your focus to something else. "She blocked me on facebook. Oh, isn't the weather nice today? That cloud looks like a strawberry [...]". In the beginning, it's hard to do and feels unnatural, because your old thoughts are so dominant and a part of you WANT to think them, because that's the vibration you have practiced and it's easy to do. But it's worth practicing not giving your attention to things you don't like.
