This morning I was thinking about Shakespeare. And what he meant when he penned "All the world's a stage.."
All of the world is a stage! I've written about this before, but today I feel really inspired to bring it up again. We know that we are the creators of our own stories. And we know that the script we hand to people is literally the part that they will play for us. Every preconceived idea/opinion/assumption that you have formed about them- they will act out accordingly, and with perfection. They will faithfully reflect to you all of the traits that you have either tarnished them with, or bestowed gracefully upon them. So in less poetic terms, if you think she's a biatch, she'll play that part so beautifully she'll be worthy of an Oscar! If you brand him with malice and distrust.. he will be a total ass¥€%& towards you.
Make no mistake, you are always revising your story. Every minute of every day. It's YOUR play. And you have the entire world at your disposal. Those people who create by default don't write amazing, illuminating scripts. So life is mediocre. Those who are nasty or depressed or furious or melancholy.... they haven't come to understand that the universe is fuelled by LOVE. And that love is the master key. Love conquers all. It truly does. And until you come to this realisation, you will not create the incredible story you came to direct!
When you finally begin to understand the power of forgiveness, of kindness, of unconditional love and living in harmony with the energy that created this incredible universe, THEN you are in the director's chair. THEN you are truly ready to create the best story ever.
You have to remember- when you're starting off, your actors need to practice their parts. You give them a script, and they take some time to get it just right. You don't falter, or doubt them or freak out- you know that your story is perfect. And you trust that with practice and your absolute expectation, they will get it right soon. They may get the words wrong. Forget their lines altogether. But you know that as you sit there with a perfect vision of your story, that soon it will all come together beautifully. Because you created it, and it's a wonderful story.
If you decide to change your script- do the actors go rogue or throw tantrums? No. They willingly and happily accept their new role. They don't remain stuck in the past. They digest the new character's persona, and off they go! It's the same with the people around you. Truly. You give them a new script, with a new persona, and they will begin to reflect that back to you with stunning accuracy. You need only intend for them to act a new part, and in your holding strong to that vision, they will soon learn the new script.
There is never a need to fear how people may or may not behave. YOU are writing their script. It's YOUR show! Your play. Your story. Your life. So what are you all writing? Are you creating a devastating drama? A thriller? A romantic comedy? The greatest love story of all time?! Really think about this. What scripts are you handing out to your cast? And what story do you REALLY want them to be showcasing on your behalf?

Thanks for posting this, I kinda was speaking with someone about how the people in your life are only following the script you gave them.

This is a great post Cherished.
I have a slightly different take on the role people play in our life's.
We do not come onto this earth as all knowing beings (or if you take the Hicks version we did but we have forgotten it). Therefore life is a lesson, we are constantly evolving and the way in which the universe supports that growth is through the placement of people and events in your life for you to learn the lesson needed for you to move on and create new desires for the next step in your life.
I don't believe we ultimately script people's actions because our limited intelligence doesn't stretch to knowing what role people need to be assigned to our life's.
Choosing to master the ability to create our own reality is not about and can't ever be about micro managing and directing those in our life's, because that is not our job.
Our role is one step back from that, if you want to use the Hollywood analogue then your job is to be a movie executive - so you want to make a movie (your life) you hire an amazing director (that would be LOA) and you leave it to the director to make the movie. Which actors (the people in your life) is of no concern to you because you know that they will only ever enrich your movie (your life) whether they are a nightmare to work with or not. And even when your director reports back to you about unforeseen complications with the movie the actors etc, you job is to elicit what is the lesson to be learnt, what are these circumstances telling me I need to do next.
Ultimately my point is that life is not about micro managing. There are billions of people in this world and we are co creating, so it is not possible to script every persons role.
The ultimate goal is to just have faith and believe, that everything in life happens for a reason. All you need to do is get to a place of awareness.
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrance. And one man (you) in his time plays many parts...." The only constant on the stage is you, all the players play the role needed for that stage of the your life story.
People will affect you and motivate you do what you didn't even know consciously you needed to do. And the way that people will ignite movement in your life is not always directed by you, it directed by the universe knowing what is best for you and placing people and events in your life to keep it flowing and you on your chosen path.
I prefer to think of people in my life as mini teachers or mini architects. Aligning them with scripted actors assumes people are your puppets when in the only thing you ultimately have control is yourself.

Actually no, I would never assume that people are my puppets. To be honest I think that's an extremely limited and negative connotation, and one that I certainly do not entertain. What I do believe is that we can absolutely elicit from people the experiemces that we wish to co-create with them. OR we can leave it up to chance and create by default. Or we can also create things that are not so pleasant. When you are living from a place of alignment on most topics, my reality has proven to me time and time again that I (me, in not speaking for anybody else) can absolutely direct my energy in a way that delivers to me the most wonderful outcomes with specific people and people in general. From my alignment, things are what I expect or even better! That's my experience. I believe we are deliberate creators. We focus deliberately, and we achieve through that focus and alignment. I am absolutely director of my life. LOA is the platform through which I facilitate and obtain both my alignment and the creation of what I desire. The HOW I leave up to the universe. The rest is completely up to me.
And as an add-on, I am coming from a place of practiced, focused unconditional love. My vibration remains high most of the time, and the people that rendezvous with me are marvellous! My intentions are always for the greater good of other people and myself. I am selfless in my giving, and ask for nought in return. So when I script the roles of the people in my life, I see them not with their limitations or illnesses. I see them not in their misery or pain, or in their mediocrity. I see them in all of their glory. In their strength and greatness. Because I know emphatically that if I can shine the light on someone else, who might not know their perfection, they may just GLIMPSE it for a second. And in that moment, they may also awaken to the potential that they have hiding within them. My motivation is pure love. I LOVE people. All people. I ADORE it when people are able to find freedom and liberation from suffering. There is nothing better to me than leading someone by the hand to show them how beautiful they are. And if I can propel ANYBODY into knowing their own worth, their own beauty and perfection- then I feel I am doing my true work here on this earth. That's my truth, and I stick to it wholeheartedly.

I'm sorry that you took offence to my reference of puppets but it was not meant in the way that that is was interpreted and I could have phrased it better. Again apologies.
However I think you have misunderstood what I have written. One it was not an attack on your philosophy I did clearly state I have a different take on what the role of people in my life are. It was a outlining of what I think. I did not say you were wrong and aside from the wrong use of the terminology of puppets I was not questioning in anyway your philosophy.
It is my belief that people are placed in my life for a reason. I have had people enter my life turn it upside down in the best way and in a not so great way. And I can say that I wasn't always in alignment because no one not even the greatest sage is ever in perfect alignment. But what all those people have entered my life as needed at that time and if you had asked me the day before the entered my life what I needed in my life I guarantee you I would not have said or known it was them.
And in reference to alignment, even in perfect alignment a person can direct an action towards you that is nowhere near aligned to what you are projected. But it is my belief that the unwanted action is a gift from the universe to further propel me to where I need to be.
As for co-creating events I'm not disputing that either. I remember a few years ago I moved to a new town after moving out of a home i shared with my then fiancé for five years, so I felt all alone. Summer was coming up I thought I really don't want to have a crappy summer. I was not in alignment, was not happy was not in the vortex. In no time I meet amazing group of people and had experiences with them which i still hold close to my heart. By now I don't see them we all grew apart organically. They entered my life when they were needed and they nourished my soul (and I would like to believe I did the same for them) and that was because the universe knew what I needed at that time. I didn't give them the script - but I did co- create with them and the experiences they brought me then brought me into alignment.

That's my truth, and I stick to it wholeheartedly.Right, I totally agree with you.
I have no understanding as to your add on. I am not, have not and was not attacking you or questioning your integrity.
For you to assume from one badly worded sentence which I have apologised for, is upsetting to me. Where did I as anything about you not having love for people in your life.
You don't have to tell me about loving people and being selfless. My life is deeply rooted in my love for those in my life and in my world. I am not going to sit here and write a list of how my personal life and professional life delivers love and selfless acts to people all day everyday, because that was not what my original post was about.
It simply a different take on what you had written. I'm sorry that was offensive to you. I sorry that I allowed myself the free flowing thought to express what I believed the purpose of people in my life are.
I didn't need commentary on your alignment, your love of people etc because I already knew and had no doubt that you are a heart person, from reading your posts and your dedication to this forum.
