Those first couple minutes

Those first couple minutes in the morning, right after you wake up, when you're still sitting on the edge of your bed, are the most magical.

Think about it: it's a brand new day and you've only been up for a few minutes. In that time you haven't been the person you were the day before. You're a completely new person who hasn't yet fallen back in your old thought patterns and routines. You've started fresh. You've literally not completed a single mistake (or what you perceive to be as a mistake) yet in your day.

This doesn't just have to last for those first couple minutes. Extend it throughout the day. You don't have to be the person you were yesterday ever again.

Re: Those first couple minutes

Yes!

I always love Rhonda Byrne's technique in the Secret where she very deliberately puts her two feet down on the floor as she gets out of bed and says "Thank. You!" It's a great way to start the day.

I also read somewhere ages ago about how doing a huge CHEESY GRIN as soon as you wake up sends a massive rush of happy chemicals to your brain. I've been doing it for weeks and feel amazing, even though I do feel like a bit of an idiot doing it

Re: Those first couple minutes

Awesome post! Thank you for posting, it's just what I needed to hear.

I always wake up happy and it's a great way to start your day. I look forward to the days ahead with him. Saying good morning and smelling the scent of freshly brewed coffee in the air.

I think it and I create my own amazing destiny!

We create our own destiny and we can do this. I love myself and all of us are amazing and beautiful inside & out.

Re: Those first couple minutes

I agree.  Right before you drift off and then the time when you awake and are still drowsy......perfect times for visualization and embedding your subconscious mind.  Dr Wayne Dyer talks about this, so does Dr Joseph Murphy, and many others too I suspect.  When I was in college I was taught this and we experimented with it by impressing in our minds a time to wake up.  Think of a weird time, say 6:17AM and imagine it, see it, then you will wake up at that time.  Worked for me.  The same goes for that time when you first awaken.  You can tell yourself many things such as "I will have a great day" or "I will see a bird on the way to the bus stop today", then visualize it.

Re: Those first couple minutes

This is such an important fact to remember! When you sleep you literally float around with source energy- you ARE aligned! So if you can wake up and hold steady in that knowledge, you can then practice staying in alignment each day for as long as you can!

If you imagine it in your mind..
Believe it in your heart..
Feel it in your soul..
You will hold it in your hand 💞
