"free will doesn't exist most of the time but sometimes it does"...what leads you to this conclusion?
scientists in 2008 were able to predict with 60% accuracy whether subjects would press a button with their left or right hand up to 10 seconds before the subject became aware of having made that choice. These and other findings have led some scientists, like Patrick Haggard, to reject some forms of "free will".
:X
So you see, scientists discovered that sometimes we have it, other times not. Thanks for reminding me of this study.
We have choice in life. If we didn't, why learn this stuff about deliberate creation? At the same time though, LoA controls manifestations, that's oitside our immediate will.

ah ok. i've just always seen it as an either/or question. either we have free will or we don't, no in betweens.
i'm not sure if the statement "sometimes we have it, sometimes we don't" follows from the fact that scientists could predict the subjects' decisions with 60% accuracy. i could be wrong but it seems false logic to me?
this is the study in question:
i'm being simpletic though, because the experiment results dont automatically rule out free will:
Haynes and colleagues now show that brain activity predicts even up to 7 seconds ahead of time how a person is going to decide. But they also warn that the study does not finally rule out free will: "Our study shows that decisions are unconsciously prepared much longer ahead than previously thought. But we do not know yet where the final decision is made. We need to investigate whether a decision prepared by these brain areas can still be reversed."
i agree we have something that seems to be free will, but whether or not we really are 'deliberate creators' ....not sure, maybe most of what we think we want arises from our subconscious programming.
to me this is really all theory. for practical necessity i act like i have a free will of my own deciding. but mental diseases with observable neurological foundation, or brain tumours for example make you think. its possible to say "chill the **** out" but most of the time that isnt going to help, no matte rhow hard you try... which is why im interested in your windows theory, so i was asking more about your ideas on this

This is interesting and thank you for brining up this scientific debate. It is good to share our thoughts on the many avenues of getting there.. where is there? The vibrational match to how we are thinking and feeling. And yes the scientists are not wrong or entirely right, they have just attempted a conscious explanation from the state that they believe to hold true.
Free will or not it only depends on the state that you believe is true to you. When I say state, I mean current reality.

oo berryluv are you saying that free will may or may not be real depending on your own beliefs? i know there's some loa theories that state whatever you believe about the world is true, ie there is no objective reality only subjective ..metaphysics -- sorry though my understanding of English isn't always perfect...
adam i didn't mean to offend you either? I think it's a fascinating topic

also wanted to say, with free will, even if we do have it i always feel that my best experiences in life are not actually the ones i conciously or deliberately choose. they happen when i am going with the flow. using my intuitive mind is always better than my ego mind. its like riches compared to poverty. this isnt related to the jitters really... but...
this is an nice article on intuition:
at the moment im very lucky because two of the situations that are not in my control have miraculously healed. the anxiety im facing for the other reasons is melting a bit because im channeling my nervous energy for good. thank you universe!
