luvely, thanks veggiepizza

You're welcome. And, yes, breathing is a great way to relax. Someone, I don't remember who, once said, developing a great breathing habit will do more for your life than 200 seminars. Something like that. Also, drinking plenty of water is very healthy.

About the uncontrollable thoughts....

I've spent hundreds of hours online trying to find the best way to explain this. It's been difficult because it's mostly invisible even to myself. Like a fish to water. But, I'll throw it your way and maybe catch a nibble. Let's see if I can write this in a way that makes sense.

FREE WILL... lol.
It exists during special segments of time. The rest of the time... NOPE! It doesn't really exist.

Your thoughts are "uncontrollable", you say. That's true. You're "riding the wave" of the vibration you've had and that you have. They come of thier own accord and there's nothing you can do to stop them in that moment. That is... until you have a special moment of using YOUR WILL.

Make sense? The WHOLE OF LOA is contained in this.

How to use your special Free Will? You have a moment where you deliberately choose. You use a segment of time to start momentum in the direction you'd like. When the momentum is great enough, you won't be able to control it. Funny right? It's exactly what's happening to you right now, only flip flopped.

Do you see why you can't control your thoughts? No one can. The thoughts we get come from a practiced vibration. The more you practice a vibration or thought, the more momentum it gains, the more it comes automatically.

So, starting a practice of relaxation will kick start that momentum.

i don't get it?

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

That's okay Dyno. You don't need to know what I'm talking about to work with LoA. Keep going, doing what you're doing, being positive and growing. You're doing fine.

I think one day you'll read that post of mine and say "Oh I know what he means! Why'd he say it so wierd?"

so if that isn't relevant what is? and what if i can't be positive all the time? do you have actual proof or links about the special windows in which you can access three will? not sure its the case anyway if there's what's called compulsive thinking

and how do you explain the term vibration?

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

It's relevant and I have no links. This is something I discovered from my own experience.

I define vibration as "point of attraction". A person's unique vibrational make-up determines what they attract. That includes thoughts.

So, what I'm saying is, if you can't stop the compulsive negative thinking it's because of your vibration. The thoughts come automatically. LoA works automatically. The "vibration" you've practiced has set in motion these thoughts, and no matter how much you'd like them to just stop, they don't. It's as if you have no Free Will in the deal.

The good thing is, we are Creators. So, we do have Free Will. Free Will happens when you change the direction of your attractions. You can set forth the motion of a new automatic attraction point. Then, you'll compulsively think positive.

Anytime. <3

I deal with anxiety attacks every now and then, usually work-related. I always have trouble sleeping Sundays when I know I have a busy work week ahead. I have a book on cognitive behavioral therapy that tackles this. I find that when I feel like this, telling myself that it's not 100% my responsibility helps. "Don't worry, you have co-workers and they are there to help you out. Divide your problem by 4 (or whatever number of people are working on the same project) and know you're not the only one who's working on this."

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

lol why do you think im offended? i was just wondering. if i got what your saying at all i thought it was "free will doesn't exist most of the time but sometimes it does"...what leads you to this conclusion?

it's not really known if free will does or doesn't exist. but i think what we really have is an illusion of control sometimes, not real control. it seems counterintuitive but if you look at the way the brain works, and how our choices are actually already made before they arise in the concious mind, it seems more likely that free will isnt real.

"One significant finding of modern studies is that a person's brain seems to commit to certain decisions before the person becomes aware of having made them. Researchers have found delays of about half a second (discussed in sections below). With contemporary brain scanning technology, other scientists in 2008 were able to predict with 60% accuracy whether subjects would press a button with their left or right hand up to 10 seconds before the subject became aware of having made that choice.[5] These and other findings have led some scientists, like Patrick Haggard, to reject some forms of "free will"."

that said, this isnt an excuse to stop working on yourself, etc. it just means that your ego is ultimately not as powerful as we think it is. i'm still developing my thoughts on loa but to me it seems more that life gives you the experiences you need. i believe you attract what you are, not what you want.

ohh veggiepizzaforever it is nice to know i'm not alone. and yes, i'll try to use your advice on responsibility, it may help. the things i said that are not in my control directly (at least you know not in control except whether i'm sending out positive or negative thoughts into the world) are not my responsibility at all, i'm not really a believer but in the past just leaving things in the hands of "fate" has allowed me to relax and be more positive.
