Re: nervous tension/the jitters

What's causing the jitters? Address that.

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

I am so like you and everyone tells me to meditate. I really need to work on these things and right now i am trying to talk myself through feeling panic. Like say yes i feel panic think about yes i see it now think about what i want for the future. Think about how it feels to have my desires. It is very hard to do ... I freak out still. I am working on it. ask others.I really am trying to address it to. I currently try to think about how my guy loves me and will be here and visualizing everything i want is a huge help feeling the feeling of having it. I started working out to and that does help.I am in the process of continuously telling myself everything will be ok. I am realizing that if i do not have fun and enjoy life who wants to be around that? I can do this and also attract my goals at the same time.

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

I think what veggie pizza forever means is something is causing you to have the jitters. And you need to address that for example if you was worried about an situation or an event you could work on that aspect.
But either way it may be anxiety I used to suffer and I got jittery and nervous.
You can visualise yourself calm. You can script telling someone how calm you feel. You can find relaxation hypnotherapy videos on YouTube.
Another technique I found useful is deep breathing. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in. Telling yourself your breathing good energy in. Breath out slowly. And you are pushing out all the bad energy. You can also work down your body with each breath. Good energy into my head bad energy out. Work down to your feet.  If you know what I mean.
And a good diet. The right vitamins for your nervous system. Camomile tea?
Hope something helps.

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

Hey dynamo chick.

I think what would help you is deeeep meditation and relaxation. If you can get yourself totally relaxed and in the sweet spot of being totally relaxed and feeling whole in your body, milk it milk milk it. Appreciate that feeling as much as possible. Feel your whole body in that relaxed state.

In your everyday life, it'll crop up again most likely. Don't fight it! Let the jitters be there. When you stop fighting it it will be easier to calm yourself down. Let it be there, and feel the weight of your body. Something tells me that feeling gravity pulling your body down will help. Or, focus on your nose, or a part of your body that isn't shaking.

Other things that could help: working out, YOGA, or anything that increases a feeling of wholeness and comfort in your body.

Also, anything that increases a sense of security, safety, and well-being will help.

Your thoughts are the one thing you can control!

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

thanks guys. thanks for your tips and advice all of you

@confused1077 maybe we need to learn some mindfulness 24/7 meditation type thing, idk, but its hard when your thoughts are battering you with anxiety. i think maybe exercise is the only way i can distract myself from the tension and panic attacks right now though

@awesomepeace thanks, i will try to focus on the breathing. i've been taking some more pills and camomile tea as well

@adam the gravity is a good idea, and concentrating on the body, thank you

@veggiepizzaforever there are situations i can't control and the anxiety is overwhelming, it also doesn't feel as if i'm "choosing" my thoughts, they come into my mind without me asking them too

Re: nervous tension/the jitters

You're welcome. And, yes, breathing is a great way to relax. Someone, I don't remember who, once said, developing a great breathing habit will do more for your life than 200 seminars. Something like that. Also, drinking plenty of water is very healthy.

About the uncontrollable thoughts....

I've spent hundreds of hours online trying to find the best way to explain this. It's been difficult because it's mostly invisible even to myself. Like a fish to water. But, I'll throw it your way and maybe catch a nibble. Let's see if I can write this in a way that makes sense.

FREE WILL... lol.
It exists during special segments of time. The rest of the time... NOPE! It doesn't really exist.

Your thoughts are "uncontrollable", you say.  That's true. You're "riding the wave" of the vibration you've had and that you have. They come of thier own accord and there's nothing you can do to stop them in that moment. That is... until you have a special moment of using YOUR WILL.

Make sense? The WHOLE OF LOA is contained in this.

How to use your special Free Will? You have a moment where you deliberately choose. You use a segment of time to start momentum in the direction you'd like. When the momentum is great enough, you won't be able to control it. Funny right? It's exactly what's happening to you right now, only flip flopped.

Do you see why you can't control your thoughts? No one can. The thoughts we get come from a practiced vibration. The more you practice a vibration or thought, the more momentum it gains, the more it comes automatically.

So, starting a practice of relaxation will kick start that momentum.

Focus on controlling what you can, starting with how you react to the jitters.
