so at my day job, i'm scheduled to work Saturday, and there's supposed to be a snowstorm with 1-2 feet of snow! (I'm not "essential personnel" like a nurse or firefighter; it's not an emergency if I'm not at work). The company has a policy of, if you call out during winter weather you get fired. I don't want to get fired! yes I want to leave my day job to start a successful business, but I want to quit the job, not be fired! I also can't drive in 12" + of snow. like I literally can't, especially if they don't plow the roads in my neighborhood before I'm scheduled to work.
so i want to remote-influence my boss. I want him to think/say that he understands I can't make it in and not to worry. has anyone here done something like this, work-related influencing? how did it go?

Just visualise the desired outcome, and feel as though he already understands. It works wonders.

Be easy about it. Just consider its done, your boss is totally fine and understands completely. It's fun to watch what happens π
